Hakko Opto’s Media Converter converts 100 BaseT Ethernet electrical signal to optical signal and vice versa. It works in pair and connected by either single mode or multimode fiber, extending the 100 meters distance limitation of unshielded twisted pair copper wire to a few hundred meters up to 120 Km over single mode, multimode fiber or polymer/plastic optical fiber (POF). Various choices of laser wavelengths and fiber connector types are available.
